Belevenistrap

The Belevenistrap turns an ordinary staircase into an interactive gaming platform for rehabilitation purposes. LED panels on each step react to every footstep with color, sound and animation. From a rainbow experience that changes color per step to birds and fish that move along with you. The platform is being expanded with multiple mini-games, so children can (re)learn to climb stairs playfully during rehabilitation. Where stair-climbing after surgery or injury is often boring and daunting at once, the staircase turns it into something children actually want to do. The games also steer activation and alertness levels: one step energizes, another calms. Developed by Bleep Cares for hospitals and healthcare institutions.
